Google Buying Motorola ? Learn Whats Happening With Android

Google might be popularly known for its search engine by beginners in the web field but it is certainly not that way. Google over the years has acquired lots of firms and made it grow double then what it was earlier. Android was one which Google would have never wanted to miss. It has grown far ahead then what even Google would have thought it would.

Now Why Hardware Acquisition?

I hope everyone here would know that Google is on its way to acquire Motorola Mobility for a sum of $12.5 billion. If you don’t know that then you must have a look at Google’s official Blog.

Android is fast growing and is a bigger threat to rivals mainly Apple and Microsoft than any other. Both Apple and Microsoft have been in pursuit to sue Android over several Patent rights. Google has been in courts for quite a while now and is just dragging things so that it doesn’t have to pay Patent fees to the arch rivals.

Now, by buying Motorola Google will have 17,000 U.S patents which are capable enough to counter attack on the rivals. Thus, Google is making a better move by buying Motorola instead of spending Patent usage Fee to the rivals.

Will Android be restricted to Motorola ?

The biggest advantage that Android had over other OS is the Open Source tag attached to it. It might else not have been that bigger a industry as it is now. Google CEO Larry has clearly stated in his blog post that even after the capture of Motorola, Android will remain open source and also continue to support other Mobile hardware manufacturers.

Will Android support be shadowed to other Hardware Manufacturers ?

Android is a hit because there are more no. of devices being manufactured everyday than its competitors Apple and Microsoft combined. Samsung and HTC are the biggest clients for Android and they have already given a statement saying they are sure that Android will continue support us as assured by CEO Larry Page.

Google buying Motorola has already brought a slight tremor in the Apple and Microsoft camps and they have started to pin point the adverse of Google buying Motorola. Just to decrease Android effect.
